Cuteness Overload!

Be warned- there are a LOT of photos! Today was Parent Observation Day for Molly's ballet class. So- I got to see what she does in class for the first time. To say it was the cutest thing in the world is a huge understatement. Dancing Angels is amazing! They have so much fun doing adorable little dances and routines- all of which have a Christian message. They even have prayer time during class. I was SO impressed that they teach so much "real" ballet. Her teacher would call out a position and the girls would all do it! I do have to take this opportunity for some flat-out bragging on my Molly. She did excellent. She listened to her teacher the entire time and never lost her focus. Not only that- but she is really a great little dancer! I was blown away by her positions and poses. Molly really, really loves going to dance class and I can see why- it is a GREAT program and I highly recommend it!

Getting ready for class to begin. Sitting on her number with her very good buddies Sophie and Alexandra

Christmas is Coming!

Christmas time is in full swing now! The day we got home from Kansas we headed to the mall to fix Kyle's phone and discovered the line for Santa was really short- those of you in Dallas who do the Northpark Santa know what an absolute BEATING it usually is- so we were very excited. Luckily, Molly happened to be wearing a Christmas dress:) Molly was beyond excited to meet Santa and sit on his lap. The first question she asked Santa is "What kind of cookies do you like?" so she knew what to leave him. How sweet is that? She told him she wanted an American Girl Molly doll and some books. This week we had some snow- well- a few minutes of it anyways - and Molly said that meant Santa was coming soon! We also loved going to the Advent Festival at Church with friends and enjoying a sleigh ride, games and a live Nativity. So far, this Christmas season is amazing- I love that Molly is SO excited!

Patiently waiting for her turn to talk to Santa
Telling him all about the Molly doll
So happy to meet him!
Molly getting "tickled" by the snow!
Outside waiting for our sleigh ride- it was COLD!
The thrill of the night- getting to kiss baby Jesus in his manger. Molly is TRULY obsessed with bay Jesus and Mommy Mary and Daddy Joseph!

Thankful

We just got back from the BEST Thanksgiving trip to Kansas. It is so so so relaxing everytime we go and this time was no exception. Kyle and my Dad had their annul hunting trip and this time they used dogs and were very successful- they had a great time. Molly loved making Thanksgiving crafts and even made us all Indian and Pilgrim hats- ha! The meal was heavenly as usual- but somewhat stressful getting every dish timed to be ready at just the right time. The day after Thanksgiving Kyle and I left Molly with my mom and we headed off to Lawrence for a few days. We hadn't been back since we got married there so it was a treat. We made it to KU basketball game which was amazing. there is NOTHING like a Jayhawk Basketball game in Allen Fieldhouse! We also went to the Mizzou/KU football game. Sadly, the scumbags from Mizzou won- but that's okay- the game was still a blast and it reminded me how much I HATE Mizzou! We got to eat at our favorite old restaurants and go to our favorite old bars. My favorite bar still has a picture of me hanging on the wall from a Kappa date party years ago. Very surreal to see that and then be sitting there talking about toddlers and bedtimes with other alums- My, how things CHANGE! Molly was an angel in the car as usual. We couldn't have had a better week!

A very girlie affair

Last Friday Molly had a very fun and girlie morning! It all began at Hannah's house for some VERY fun dress-up, which Molly took very seriously. She would try on each dress and then sing the coordinating theme song that went with that princess. She was very serious about these songs. Then, some fun with princess stickers where she enjoyed telling Hannah about each Princess- where they lived, what song they sang, who their Prince was, etc. But the main event occurred at American Girl Place- which Hannah and Molly both love. Her doll, Samantha, got her hair done at the doll salon and the girl had lunch They got a huge kick out of choosing her hairstyle and which ribbons she should have. The lunch was perfect for the girls- mac and cheese, chicken fingers and pink lemonade with a pink shake! The restaurant got a little crowded and hectic and it got a little late (sleepy kids!) but they had a blast! Molly REALLY hoped that Santa brings her the Molly doll....!

Molly and Hannah watching Samantha get her hair done. They put her in a robe and a salon chair!
Enjoying the very yummy, very pink shakes!
Yum!
Dancing with Samantha
I had to put this in because I thought it was too funny. Emily and I really wanted Molly and Hannah to stand by the red wall for one last picture. Well, they did everything BUT stand still by the red wall. But sweet little Alice Anne toddled over and stood right where we asked.
So cute!

Daddy Party!

Tonight was Dad's Night at Molly's school. She has been SOOO excited about this for weeks! All of the decorations in the hallways have made her so ready for the "Daddy Party"! When she woke up form her nap (YES! She fell asleep today!) she was raring to go. The theme was Football Players and Cheerleaders, and Molly was happy to get to wear her KU ensemble! I volunteered at the event and it was a riot! It was very chaotic to say the least! I think the Dads had a difficult time keeping the kids in line- ha! The SMU cheerleaders were there, there were Button Photos, tattoos, food, games and fun raffle prizes. Molly was most excited to see her friends from her class, meet the Cheerleaders and drink some juice!! On the way home Molly said "Daddy was the best Daddy at the Daddy Party"! How sweet and I couldn't agree more!

Molly all decked out and ready to party!

I love this shot because she is catching some air and looks like a real cheerleader!
In front of the banner. She looks SO grown up in this one! :(

Halloween Extravaganza!

We had the BEST weekend! We kicked the festivities off Friday night at Mimi and Poppy's house. They had a Halloween "Dress Rehearsal" for us and some family friends with young children. The kids showed off their costumes, did some trick-or-treating and friends and had a spaghetti feast. So fun! On Halloween, Lisa and Brendan hosted the most fun party and then we all went trick or treating together. It was an absolute blast. The kids got such a kick out of seeing each other in costume and I can't really explain how elaborately the homes were decorated in Lisa's neighborhood- it was spectacular! Molly and her friends wanted to be big kids and walk up to the homes by themselves, but kind of got stuck- they just stood there and said "trick-or-treat" over and over again! HA! So- we had to assist them! A hilarious story- Molly was tuckered out and ready to go, but she saw one last elaborate house she had to visit. It had an enormous organ that spewed fire! Well- the organ started chiming like a clock and Molly said "Oh- it's "bidnight" (midnight!), Fairy Godmother said I have to go home now" and she was done! She even dropped her glass slipper for Prince Charming (kyle) to scoop up! We made one last stop at another Halloween party so she could show off her dress to Uncle KeeKee and friends and then Molly was done! After we put her down with a sitter, Kyle and I went to the Ghostland Observatory concert with a group of friends. Kyle had to talk me into it, as I had not been "out" on Halloween in FOREVER, but I'm glad he did- it was soooooo much fun! I haven't been out past 1:00am in years:)
