VAIL!

We just got back from Vail and had a WONDERFUL time! It was so hard to come back to the heat and hustle of Dallas. Molly and I had a few days on our own before Kyle joined us. Molly was an absolute champ on the plane and the shuttle into Vail- I was so proud of her. Molly loved Colorado- she loved being outside all the time, the creek right behind our house, all the fun parks and shopping in Vail Village. I am REALLY ready for fall after some time in that heavenly weather!

This is the creek right behind our house. Molly loved to throw rocks in it and just sit and watch it.
We logged many hours on this tire swing! There was a park just a few seconds away- perfect!
Molly waiting on the bus to take us into Vial Village. Molly befriended all of the bus drivers, of course!
Conquering a giant rock!
Loving the swing!
It was soooo laid back- we would spend hours at the park.
Molly and I on a looong hike! Over 6 miles- but we made it!
About to get on the gondola which took us to the top of the mountain
The Mountain Man
Molly getting harnessed in to do the launcher on the top of the mountain. She was actually a little under the weight requirement, but they let her go for it...
Getting ready to fly.....
She LOVED it!
She kept saying "higher"!
Molly went just as high as the teenagers- they said she set a record for her size! Go, Molly!
Kyle's very favorite thing in the whole world- fly fishing!
Molly and I hiked over to watch Daddy fish- and Molly wanted in on the action!
Molly said she wanted a blue fish:)

Molly's favorite statue- Albert Einstein. She loved sitting by him

We really did have the best time- we can't wait to go back!

New friends....

So, there are some new friends in Molly's life! Their names are Jemma, Ginna, Megan and Coddy. That's right- some imaginary friends, or pretend friends as she calls them. Last week Molly wanted us to call her Jemma sometimes, but now it seems that she is a separate person and has joined up with some others. Tonight she told me that Coddy and Jemma were stuck in a tree and she got them down, Megan is always lost and we have to call for her.... and Ginna... well I think Ginna was created in a  panic for another new name because it sounds an awful lot like Jemma....! Her imagination is just growing by leaps and bounds everyday and it is so fun and funny. She also talks about Monsters a lot and is scared of them. She tried to scare me into taking her to Target by saying "mommy we have to go to Target right now before the monster comes"! HA!

Happy Birthday Ninny

Happy Birthday, Mama! I love you so much, and Molly adores you. Thank you for being my best friend, my confidant, my everything. Hope you have a great day! We miss you so much it hurts!

Photo Shoot

It has been a really long time since I tried to do a "shoot" with Molly. Last week we had some unseasonably cool weather, so we went to the Arboretum to get some. I hate that our membership is wasted 6 months out of the year, but it's just too hot! They turned out pretty cute, although about 60% of the time she straight up refused to look at me:)

These next 2 are funny to me. She's telling me a real serious story about how she is sitting on Cinderella's throne and Cinderella left her some treasures to find.

I don't know why I think this is so cute

Water War

I thought it would be fun to have a water balloon fight after dinner, so I got all the balloons ready and Molly talked about it all through dinner. I should have known Miss Priss would not be a fan! She did not enjoy getting wet and every time a balloon popped she would run after it to collect it's remains and say "Oh, it is soooo sad now"! Ha! Not exactly the reaction we were going for! A few weeks ago Kyle brought home a kids soccer ball and goal and Molly literally cried and tried to push it out the front door. She said "I don't want to play ball, Daddy"! Poor Kyle....!

Friends and Family

Another fun and relaxing weekend. The Belf's and the Ramsey's joined us for pizza and swimming and Molly had so much fun. These girls are so much fun when they get together. At one point they were all laughing hysterically and were just totally slap-happy... really funny! Then, we got to see The Edwards and Molly loved seeing her cousins. Each time we see them, it seems like the age difference is less and less noticeable, and Molly can really play with them now. She loves them so much and wants to do everything they do. Hopefully, we'll be able to visit them in The Woodlands later in the summer for lots and lots of playtime!

Molly got her face painted at Northpark! She sat so still- it was pretty surprising!

Hannah, Molls and Ava... they were attempting to play tag, but it was really just chaotic running while shouting "Tag, you're it"!
How pretty is Hannah?
