An eventful outing!

We got a bit of relief from the rain and we made the most of it. We pulled on our rainboots headed over to Milam's and walked down to the lake. I thought Molly knew hw to splash in puddles, but Milam REALLY knows how to splash in puddles- and showed Molly a thing or two about getting soaked. The kiddos then got a thrill (especially Milam) when they met a man who was fishing and they joined him with their very own fishing poles (sticks!) The man was very nice and patient and showed them all his gear and helped them put "bait" on their poles. After some fishing, we played at the park, where William joined us and had a picnic. At this point, it was dangerously close to nap time....  with a walk home still ahead of us. We tried to load the kids up, but both Molly and Milam wanted to ride in the car, and no one would ride in the stroller. Poor baby Samuel was getting very sleepy, but good ol' Molly just flat out refused to move. So, after slight  panic, we loaded up Lisa's car, and took several trips getting all the kids and strollers and cars home. Thank goodness for Lisa! Without her rescue car we would have been stranded! Nothing is EVER easy with kids this age! :)

The only good thing about rain.....

is puddles!

We spent the afternoon trucking up and down the block in our rain boots, splashing all the way.

Splashing around with a giant stick is extra cool!

I took a TON of pictures and this child is not looking at me in ANY of them! Ha!

Rain, rain go away!

It has been rainy and dreary here for a few days- and the forecast shows rain for the next 10 days! Ugh! Molly will truly lose her mind being cooped up! A new pack of sidewalk chalk has been taunting her for a few days, so first thing this morning we rushed outside for some play while it was dry. Molly loved it. She always has the funniest requests for me to draw things. Today she wanted me to draw: Molly, Mommy, Daddy, "Mr. Sun", Cinderella's shoes, 2 magic wands, "inside a mouth"!?!, a strawberry and numerous stars. She also loves to draw things and will work really hard and scribble away and tell you what it is. They are usually princesses, her friends, and her teachers at Church. I am going to have to get creative with our entertainment this week!

Things quickly turn sour when it is time to put the chalk up and go in for breakfast...

Ooh-La-La

Molly love to dress up! Today I think she put the entire contents of her Dress-Up tub on all at once and paraded around the house saying "Ooh-la-la! I Beautiful! I Fancy Nancy"! The crazy thing is that she can walk in those heels that are about 5 inches too big! Ha!

You are our very own Fancy Nancy!

Fun with friends!

Molly has been lucky to have some fun with her pals lately. Both Milam and Lucy and Annie got dropped off for some play time and then the whole gang met up for lunch and totally took over the patio of a restaurant (complete with knocking over furniture, throwing gravel.... they were probably pleased to see us go!). Milam and Molly had fun eating, making up bizarre games and playing with her train set. Whenever Milam's attention was diverted from her, she would try to woo him back with a special dance move or a princess song! Lucy and Molly were very serious about decorating cookies and eating the frosting straight from the jar! They also enjoyed playing outside with chalk, cars and bubbles. Besides destroying restaurant property, the kiddos loves playing ring Around the Rosie, and Ava and Molly loved hollering in each others faces and finding the one area that had water and stomping in it! We're very lucky to have so many precious kids to play with!

Third time is a charm????

Hello again! Yes, this is the THIRD time I have attempted a blog! I am crossing my finger no "technical issues" lock me out of this one! If this one doesn't work out- I give up! It is clearly a sign that computers truly do hate me and I will throw in the towel. Not much had changed with us. Molly continues to crack us up on a daily basis and we are still scrambling to keep up with her changes. She still loves to tell us stories, dancing and singing, anything and everything princess related, being outside, pretending, her friends, babies and doing EVERYTHING herself! In fact, I would guess the phrase I hear most is "I do it all by myself".
