Photo Shoot

It has been a really long time since I tried to do a "shoot" with Molly. Last week we had some unseasonably cool weather, so we went to the Arboretum to get some. I hate that our membership is wasted 6 months out of the year, but it's just too hot! They turned out pretty cute, although about 60% of the time she straight up refused to look at me:)

These next 2 are funny to me. She's telling me a real serious story about how she is sitting on Cinderella's throne and Cinderella left her some treasures to find.

Water War

I thought it would be fun to have a water balloon fight after dinner, so I got all the balloons ready and Molly talked about it all through dinner. I should have known Miss Priss would not be a fan! She did not enjoy getting wet and every time a balloon popped she would run after it to collect it's remains and say "Oh, it is soooo sad now"! Ha! Not exactly the reaction we were going for! A few weeks ago Kyle brought home a kids soccer ball and goal and Molly literally cried and tried to push it out the front door. She said "I don't want to play ball, Daddy"! Poor Kyle....!

Friends and Family

Another fun and relaxing weekend. The Belf's and the Ramsey's joined us for pizza and swimming and Molly had so much fun. These girls are so much fun when they get together. At one point they were all laughing hysterically and were just totally slap-happy... really funny! Then, we got to see The Edwards and Molly loved seeing her cousins. Each time we see them, it seems like the age difference is less and less noticeable, and Molly can really play with them now. She loves them so much and wants to do everything they do. Hopefully, we'll be able to visit them in The Woodlands later in the summer for lots and lots of playtime!

1st Place!

Molly has been going through some behavior "difficulties" lately and I was at the end of my rope! Most of the time she is very sweet, happy and compliant.... but every once in a while she can be a major stinker. So, we have been doing a lot of talking about what it means to have good behavior and things she can do to make Mommy, Daddy and Jesus happy. Molly recently saw a Caillou episode where the kids all got ribbons for winning awards. She was very into it! So, I went and got her this first place ribbon with the idea that she would get to wear it in the afternoon after a morning of perfect behavior. It is working! She was a perfect angel this morning, so when she woke up she got to wear her ribbon! She was so excited! She cheered for herself and kept yelling " I' m the good girl winner!" She can't wait for Daddy to come home and show it off!

Hot-Hot-Hot!

It has been yucky hot here. So hot that I hate to get Molly in the car where she roasts in her car seat. If we are leaving the house it better involve water! So we were so happy to meet everybody at the UP pool! The kids area is GREAT! I love the "beach entry" that is kid-friendly, the sprinklers and the yummy food! Molly had so much fun. She is truly Miss Priss when it comes to the water, but she was kind of brave... for her! I am so shocked to see her little friends getting their heads wet and even going under! I think swim lessons is in our near future!

A truly long weekend...

It was a long weekend for us in more ways than one! We were very happy to get the extra time with Kyle and to get to see Uncle Keithy! However, poor Molly got pretty sick... so the last few days have draaaaaagged on for me! The dear has a yucky throat infection that has given her a high fever and a very cranky disposition. I feel quite guilty that I was oblivious to the CLEAR signs she was sick for a long time. I hate when she is sick- it makes me feel helpless! We spent the holiday weekend at Kyle's parents relaxing by the pool and grilling out. Molly loves her Uncle Keith very much so it was a treat for her to get to spend some time with him. We are hoping she continues to feel better very soon! I think we are all ready to get a good night's sleep and have our happy baby girl back!

Tea for Four!

Today was a very special day for Molly. She hosted her very first fancy tea party! She invited all the girls form play group- Hannah, Ava and Lucy, and the girls put on their fanciest clothes for the event! Molly has been talking about this for a week- and it did not disappoint! The girls were all very excited to eat fancy finer foods and get served tea. They even did a bit of dancing to Princess Love Songs! Molly is very lucky to have such a fun group of girlfriends.
